Dear Fitness Center Member,
Virtua leadership announced today, August 26, that the Virtua Fitness Center – Moorestown will permanently discontinue operations. The ongoing suspension of services caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the considerable operational costs of maintaining the space, proved unsustainable, and therefore a difficult but necessary decision was made.
The good news is that the Virtua William G. Rohrer Fitness Center will reopen, when permitted, in accordance with state regulations. This is possible, in large part, because the Voorhees location is Virtua-owned instead of leased.
We eagerly await the day when we can safely reopen our doors and welcome you back. It may interest you to know that, in the interim, the fitness center has served as a temporary distribution center for Virtua’s outreach programs that help to address hunger in our region.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work with local and state agencies to stop the spread of COVID-19 and keep people safe. We are all eager to return to a sense of normalcy, and although that will take time, we pledge to be your partner every step of the way.
